Hunt – We Can’t Be Missing The Chances We Get

Despite qualifying for the next round in the CAF Champions League, Kaizer Chiefs Gavin Hunt was unhappy with his team’s lack of goal scoring.

Kaizer Chiefs drew 0-0 with PWD Bamenda on Saturday night, but go through 1-0 on aggregate after winning the away leg last week.

Hunt says he was disappointed in his team’s performance up front.

“Hell, disappointing again, gee whizz, we can’t be missing the chances we get,” Hunt said after the game.

“Opportunities, we get in front of goal. I don’t think in all my 30 years of coaching I’ve seen anything like it. So it’s disappointing, but the most important thing was to get through, but it certainly doesn’t lend itself to, you know, anyway, but we’re through, that’s the main thing.”

“The first half could have been, the score could’ve been whatever, we had so many opportunities, the second half the same again, and you got to score, we’re not scoring. It’s been the problem the whole season. And you cannot expect to keep clean sheets every week, you know, if you’re not scoring the goals with the chances we had.”
