Kaizer Chiefs Coach Gavin Hunt says his team created enough chances to win their CAF Champions League game against 1º de Agosto on Wednesday.
The first round first leg game at the FNB Stadium ended 0-0.
Hunt feels they should have won the game comfortably, but once again Chiefs were unable to take their chances.
“I thought we played very very well again, I thought we should have won. If anybody watched the game, we should have won the game comfortably,” Hunt said to Chiefs’ media afterwards, “Very disappointed but we certainly played very well over the 90 minutes.”
Hunt says the Angolans are a tough team, but he felt they were beatable.
“They are resilient, strong, got good experience, they’re a good team. But I thought we were really the better team, but you got to be scoring the chances we get.”
“I think it was good play, good movement and we created some very good chances today.”
The coach knows 1º de Agosto will be a lot tougher in Angola in the second leg, but remains confident they can progress if they play like they did on Wednesday.
“They’re a different team there, they’ll be totally different you know, but we saw enough in our team today, if we create half the amount of the chances there, we will have a good chance to win there.”
