Hunt – You Can’t Be Two Nil Down Every Game

Kaizer Chiefs Coach Gavin Hunt says they did enough to win the game, but they gifted SuperSport United goals, and didn’t take their own chances.

Hunt was speaking after SuperSport’s 2-1 over Chiefs in the DSTV Premiership on Tuesday night.

The former SuperSport and Bidvest Wits coach says he felt they should’ve won the game, but failed to execute their opportunities, and their own errors allowed the opponents to score.

“Yah, I thought we played very, very well,” Hunt said in the post match press conference.

“First half we had three, four unbelievable chances before they even had a chance at goal, but they never had a chance. Then we turn one nil down.”

“The second half the same, error again, and we’re two nil down. But we had enough chances to win the game.”

“But you can’t be two nil down every game, and try come back from there.”

“Obviously we’re all frustrated because every week, you know, we’re giving away a start, and then trying to come back from that. It’s something I don’t think I’m used to, but it is what is, and you know we’ve got to stick together and soldier on.”

“We created enough chances to win the game, but we can’t be giving away the goals that we did.”
