Golden Arrows Head Coach Mandla Ncikazi says their encounter with Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday will be his team’s toughest game so far this season.
Ncikazi recently took over the reign at Abafana Besthende when Steve Khompela joined Mamelodi Sundowns as a Senior Coach. The 51 year old had been Khompela’s assistant throughout his stay at Arrows. Arrows have enjoyed an unbeaten start to the season having drawn 2 and won 1 in three matches.
Speaking to the media about the upcoming match against Amakhosi, Ncikazi said, “Our match against Kaizer Chiefs will be the toughest thus far, based on the fact that they are a big team and they have quality players. They have a rich history behind them. Recent results have not gone in their favour as well.”
Ncikazi went to say that if he had a choice, he would have preferred not to play Kaizer Chiefs at this time, due to their bad run of results, and how their players would be motivated by Gavin Hunt to turn their season around.
Kaizer Chiefs will be desperate to turn around their bad run of results as they lie 11th position on the log and were knocked out of the MTN8.
