Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye was full of praise for Itumeleng Khune after his DStv Compact Cup’s performance but pointed out what he must still work on.
The 34-year-old short-stopper was one of the standout performers at Saturday’s DStv Compact Cup, impressing Khanye and many others.
Khune, who is yet to feature in the DStv Premiership for Amakhosi this season, has helped Warriors FC to defeat Amabutho FC 2-1 at Moses Mabidha Stadium on Saturday.
Khanye was impressed by Khune’s showing but also pointed out that Mzansi’s former number one should work on reducing his body weight.
“I’m very much impressed with Itumeleng Khune,” the iDiskiTV analyst said.
“I love Khune and yes, he gained a bit, but the body is not a talent, it is something that you can work on.
“I was impressed with him in that game.”
The Warriors are set to take on Coastal United in the finals encounter of the cup on Saturday at FNB Stadium.
