Jampies On Spurs’ Links

Cheslyn Jampies has commented on his future after being released by Sekhukhune United.

Jampies, 32, spent the season with Babina Noko when to his surprise was released along with 14 other players.

Interest has been building around teams in his hometown like Cape Town Spurs and Tshakhuma, as well as an unnamed DStv Premiership side.

“Yes this is a team that I have spent nine years with called Ajax at the time,” Cheslyn told iDiski Times referring to a potential link-up with Cape Town Spurs.

“They have approached me and I would certainly be honoured to go back to where it had all started but nothing is final as yet. I come from this club and all of us had the chance to see the world through football so yes I would consider it.”

Jampies spent a lot of time in the wilderness where he was bouncing from club to, he came back stronger in his debut season for Uthogathi but his professional career started at Santos FC where a lot of his technical ability and drive for the game was harnessed.

“Yeah I feel we all go through patches in life. It’s always your choice whether to get stuck there or act fast and be on track,” he explained.

“I have a massive support group in my community and family, so that’s been the reason behind the hustle.

“I keep training when others are off, I make sure I eat right, so that’s my secret.”
