Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer was delighted with the immediate impact that Tshegofatso Mabasa had in their 2-1 win over SuperSport United on Saturday.
Mabasa came off the bench in the DSTV Premiership game to score the winner for the Buccaneers and move them up to 8 points on the table after 4 games.
Zinnbauer was delighted with the impact the 24-year-old former Bloemfontein Celtic player made, especially considering he had only recently recovered from injury.
“Yah, we are happy about this. He comes in the last friendly game 45 minutes in the second half, and he scored three times,” Zinnbauer told the media after the game in a Zoom press conference.
“He was ready, I feel it in training this week, I feel it in the friendly game last week, and I was so, so, 100 percent sure that when we bring him in, he gets one option, he gets one opportunity and he scored. That’s what the reason is he came in, and I’m very happy about it,”
“He had a bad time in the past weeks, you know it that in the bubble he had a big injury, and now he comes so quick back, I’m very happy about it.”
