Kambole – It’s Going To Be An Emotional Game

Kaizer Chiefs attacker Lazarous Kambole says facing their former coach Ernst Middendorp will be emotional, as Chiefs prepare to take on Maritzburg United this weekend.

The two teams will meet at FNB Stadium on Saturday, and while both teams have been struggling, they will both go into the game on the back of a win.

Maritzburg picked up their first win of the season last weekend, beating Bloemfontein Celtic 2-1.

Chiefs are going into this game after a 1-0 away win against Angola’s Primeiro De Agosto, to qualify for the CAF Champions League group stages, and while the win was confidence boosting, Kambole says the DSTV Premiership has its own style of play.

“It’s not going to be easy, of course it will be different from the Champions League, because PSL has got it’s own style of play,” Kambole told Chiefs media.

“But we’ve been playing for so long, so we know what the league is all about, so we are prepared, it’s not going to be easy, but we are soldiers and we are ready!”

“We just have to continue working extra hard, and believe in what I can do on the pitch. I’m on the right track, and by the grace of God, I’ll start scoring and things will get back to normal.”

“Coming from the win, I think they (Maritzburg) are motivated so it’s not going to be easy, we just have to go all out and make sure we win the game.”

Kambole says it will be an emotional game, facing their former coach Middendorp.

“It’s going to be an emotional game, but business is business, and we’ll talk on the pitch!”

The Zambian international has featured in just two league games for Chiefs so far this season.
