Bafana Bafana goalkeeper Darren Keet made his GladAfrica Championship debut on Saturday, after signing with former coach Roger De Sa at Cape United.
And it was a winning debut as the Cape Town team beat Richards Bay, who were top-of-the-table going into game. Sekhukhune United beat Cape Town All Stars to go top
Keet has signed a short term contract with GladAfrica side until the end of the season. The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper has been club-less since leaving Oud-Heverlee Leuven in Belgium at the end of last season.
He was meant to head to the United States of America to sign with an unnamed MLS club, but due to Covid-19 travel restrictions, the deal fell through.
He had been keep fitting at the Cape Town club, who are coached and run by Keet’s former Bidvest Wits coach Roger De Sa.
