Kekana Remembers Fallen Teammates
Mamelodi Sundowns captain Hlompho Kekana has sent an emotional message to the club’s fans, remembering his two teammates who have passed away this season.
The 36-year-old, who lifted his eighth league title on Saturday, sent an emotional message on twitter amid the celebrations around Downs’ DStv Premiership title.
Kekana found profound words for his former teammate Anele Ngcongca and Motjeka Madisha who both passed away in car accidents earlier in the campaign.
“Masandawana family. Another season has drawn to an end. We close the curtain with happiness at the team’s success,” Kekana wrote on twitter.
“We also remember Anele and Motjeka, two humble boys who couldn’t be here today.
“We have also lost fans through the year. Hopefully amidst the trying times in the world the fans can celebrate this and feel some joy.”
Ngcongca passed away in November after being involved in a fatal car accident, while Madisha passed away just a few weeks later due to a similar incident.
