Khanye – Chiefs Do Not Have A Coach

Former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Junior Khanye has gone in hard on Amakhosi coach Stuart Baxter after the loss against TS Galaxy.

Amakhosi’s trophy draught looks to be extended to seven seasons after a 1-0 loss to the Rockets at home, which saw them crash out of the Nedbank Cup.

Khanye has questioned, and heavily criticised Baxter’s tactics, pointing out what led the Glamour boys to lose the match.

“Do you agree now when I say Kaizer Chiefs do not have a coach?” Khanye asked on iDiskiTV.

“His today’s line-up, (Njabulo) Blom is more of right-wing back and when you play your midfield with Blom, (Phathutshedzo) Nange and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo while you are playing at FNB, who will supply Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly?

“Where is an attacking balance, I told you that you can’t rely on two players every game. And you can’t play two defensive players and again with three defenders while you are playing at home.

“His (Baxter) substitutions, how can you make impact players Leonardo Castro and Samir Nurkovic and keep out Billant and leave Bernard Parker in the field, it doesn’t make sense, why can’t you replace Parker with Kgaogelo Sekgota?

Khanye has insisted the Soweto giants must get rid of the Englishman and let the assistant coach Arthur Zwane to take over the reins atleast until the end of the season.

“The technical team must be honest, they don’t have a coach, many things need to be done,” he said

“I will be honest, yes Arthur can take over until the end of the season as a caretaker coach, that can be good.

“But for him to take over as a coach there will be a problem, he will have a pressure, he will be expected to deliver under pressure, so it will not be good.

“They will need him to win trophies under pressure, so as a caretaker he will not feel pressure, but he was good in Baxter’s absence, but experience will beat him if they appoint him a head coach.”
