Khanye: Individual Brilliance The Difference

Bafana Bafana secured a 4-2 victory over Sao Tome in an AFCON qualifier on Monday afternoon, but former Kaizer Chiefs star, Junior Khanye, is not yet convinced.

South Africa had to battle back from a goal down before a flurry in the final few minutes gave Bafana a flattering scoreline.

At one point, with just 15 minutes to go, the game was level at 2-2, but coach Molefi Ntseki will be pleased with a six-point haul in their back-to-back matches with Sao Tome.

Khanye, however, still has questions about the selection process, and feels that individual brilliance is currently the difference for the national team.

“South African football is good with how it’s marketed but there is a lot things that need to be changed,” Khanye told iDiskiTV.

“The football is not good enough, it’s only a few players who are showing individual brilliance.

“I have a lot of questions about selection, why persist on selecting Manyama? Madisha is a starter at Sundowns, but he starts Lebusa instead of him.”
