Khune To Miss Petro Game

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune will play no part in the CAF Champions League game against Petro de Luanda this weekend after being granted compassionate leave.

This follows the sad passing of Khune’s sister this week in his hometown of Ventersdorp.

The club have confirmed that their goalkeeper will miss the game and has already been excused.

“It is a very sad time for Itu and his family,” Chiefs Coach Gavin Hunt said in a digital press conference on Friday.

“Obviously he is away so he won’t play tomorrow, and hopefully things get sorted out, it’s also a difficult time for him, so ja, he won’t be playing tomorrow.”

iDiski Times send their condolences to Khune and his family following the tragic news.
