Khune – We Are Going To Fight Hard

Kaizer Chiefs goalkeeper Itumeleng Khune says they are targeting three points in Ouagadougou as they head to Burkina Faso to play Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League.

Khune has kept 3 clean sheets so far in the CAFCL and will look to add to that tally on the weekend.

Chiefs drew 0-0 with Horoya AC in their first game in the group stages on Tuesday.

Khune says while it will be a tough game, they are ready to fight for the points on the 28th.

“Ja, I’m looking forward to the trip to Burkina Faso, against Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League match,” Khune told Chiefs’ media department.

“It’s a very tough match for us. And we looking forward to bringing three points back home. We’ve been preparing very well for this match. And we are going to give it our all. So everyone is ready. All the guys are looking forward to the match. And we are going to work together as a team.”

“It’s going to be a difficult match as it’s not our home game. But we are going to fight hard for the three points and make sure that we make the Amakhosi family happy and proud.”

“Ja, I’ve been to Burkina Faso before with Bafana Bafana. And we managed to draw the match. So I will help the guys to acclimatise well, I’ll help the guys to know what to expect in Ouagadougou, it is not going to be an easy trip.”

“But we know what is expected of us. We have to go there, fight for the club, fight for the badge, and represent the whole nation and make the country proud.”

S”o we looking forward to the challenge and we are ready for it. So, all we can say is please please support us from home, and we will know what to do on the field and bring back the three points.”
