Lentjies And Eva Nga Aim For Second Consecutive Win

Chippa United caretaker coach Kurt Lentjies says his team could clinch another win if his players put more effort in when they take on Sekhukhune United at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium later today.

A brace from Bienvenu Eva Nga against Maritzburg United guided the Chilli Boys to their third victory this season and moved them to 13th in the DStv Premiership table on Sunday afternoon.

Lentjies, though, says his troops enter the game with a positive minds after the win, and he is confident they will show again a stunning performance at home.

“Obviously, after a positive result, the mood will definitely be good, but like I tell the guys, we need to forget about the result and focus on tomorrow’s game, and let’s see how it goes tomorrow,” a confident Lentjies said ahead of the match.

“Confidence obviously is there, but what are our last victory, for me, it’s how you win, and if you win convincingly, then I’m happy with that, so we are happy with the performance against Maritzburg, and we are looking forward towards tomorrow’s game.

“We positive, we’re not actually bothered of whether team has conceded goals or not. We focus on what we want to do, how we want to play our game, so let’s see what happens tomorrow.”

Meanwhile, the in-form striker Eva Nga says he looks to continue scoring to help his side to go to the festive season in a good position.

“Most important tomorrow is our last game for the year, we need to win, and I need to keep doing my job, I’m scoring goals,” he said.

“Because if we win tomorrow, we are going to close on with 18 points. We can come back strong and for me, is not more than scoring goals, it’s for the team to win and to be part for contribution.

“I know tomorrow it will be difficult game, Sekhukhune they are playing well, and they are very good team. We have seen them playing, and they can play.

“If we put this our motivation we have been for the last two games against AmaZulu and Maritzburg I think we are going to win the game easy and tomorrow I need to score again, and I will continue to pray God to give me what I want and stay focus.”
