Gamphani Lungu says SuperSport United need to work as a team and fight together when they take on AmaZulu in the DStv Premiership at Kings Park later today.
Lungu says that Benni McCarthy’s team are a good ball-playing side, and they need to match them, and they are focussing on keeping the ball more.
The Zambian international says the team have been working on starting games better, as they feel that has been in an issue in past matches.
“No, the preparations are very good,” Lungu told the club’s media department.
“We are focusing on keeping the ball more, like being more arrogant on the ball, and just trying to keep the ball more because we know AmaZulu is also ball-playing team, that’s the thing.”
“So we need to match them when it comes to that. When you have the ball more your energy levels are very high and you don’t get too tired when you have the ball. So we just need to do (that). We need to work as a team and fight together.”
“For the past like three, four games I think we haven’t started to well, like we have had a very slow start then we always seem to pick up maybe second half, but in a game that’s always too late.”
“We need to start the game really good, and we know we can end the game perfect, because our fitness levels are quite okay. So we just need to keep on working hard and yeah, fighting for each other.”
