TS Galaxy captain Mxolisi Macuphu says the team is returning to their top-eight belief, as they prepare to face Marumo Gallants in the next match.
Macuphu, 32, feels the recently appointed coach Sead Ramovic is the right man to take them to the promised land, as they have now played two games without a loss.
The veteran forward is also confident that he will continue scoring to help the team get some positive results, he has scored three goals this season so far.
“I made a mark to reach the ten goals mark, so it keeps me motivated, you always feel confident when you just score as a striker considering the position that we are in, I think we need more goals, so I feel really great,” he told club’s media department.
“I must say the support from the management has also helped, from the respect and the coaches man I think they came and noticed that we do have quality, we have never doubted ourselves from the beginning.
“We always believed that we are a top-eight team, they came in and installed that, and they are really, really doing an impressive job, they have installed that hard-working mentality within us and yes, they said it going to be a bit difficult, but now it is paying off.”
The Rockets skipper has also predicted how Malesela’s side will approach the match, as they know how their former coach prefers to play.
“I think South Africa all knows when it comes to Dan Dance, that he likes keeping the ball, so it is another shift, it’s a big shift for us. More especially we are also a ball keeping team, we like keeping the ball, moving the ball around shifting the opponents,” he added.
“So I think they are coming there, they also, I mean it’s going to be a war game, it’s something really big, It’s who wants it on the day, that’s going to be important, who wants it the most will be important, so knowing Dan Dance, obviously they are going to keep the ball. It’s an extra shift for us, so we just have to keep going.”
Galaxy will visit Gallants at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday afternoon at 17:15 for the DStv Premiership encounter.
