Speaking after their 1-1 draw with Orlando Pirates on Thursday, Royal AM head coach John Maduka says he is pleased about the return from injury of captain Ndumiso Mabena.
Mabena made an appearance off the bench on Thursday, with the 34-year-old have been out since early in September.
When asked by iDiski Times about Mabena’s return to the team, Maduka said it’s good having him back, as captain and as an influential player, and he also hopes to welcome back Jackson Mabokgwane and Lucky Baloyi soon.
“Ja, it’s good to have Ndumiso back in the team, influential player,” Maduka said after the Pirates game.
“You know, the more things are getting tough and tough each and every game, it’s very important for you to have all your soldiers available. We hope that Jackson also comes back.
“We hope everyone, all the players, Baloyi and all of them that are out to come back. Because we know that it’s not going to be easy.
“The season is long, there’ll be times where by there’ll be loss of form for most of them. So you need to have a healthy team, a team that can be able to change, and whoever we play at that particular time, must be able to do the same job that others can play.
“So it’s very important for us to have Ndumiso Mabena, he is the captain of the team, influential player, so we are happy to have him back.”
