Mahlangu – It’s Not What You Do On Paper

Jabu Mahlangu has lauded Golden Arrows’ performance this season in the DStv Premiership, but warns them they must keep it up until the final game.

Mahlangu says no one expected Arrows to be in the top five on the table at this point, and he hopes they show the consistency in their remaining games to stay in the hunt.

“Golden Arrows! They are now number four or five with 28 points, and they are not bad at all, it is a team that is always very difficult team to play against,” Mahlangu told iDiski Times.

“I mean, they managed to beat Orlando Pirates 2-0, you know, convincingly. So it’s not a push-over team, it is a very, very talented team.”

“But most of these teams they play well, but sometimes when it’s the last three, four or five games of the season, you find them being number nine, some being number ten. Because sometimes they lose that consistency and don’t have the experience to keep doing what they’re doing week, in week out.”

“But at the moment, by the look of things, we can’t write them them off, at the moment, no one speaks about them, but they are in the top four.”

“They are in top four of the league. But like I said, it’s, it’s not what you do on paper. It’s what you do on the pitch. And so far, they’ve been doing very well on the pitch.”
