Majoro Says Usuthu Will Be High In Confidence

AmaZulu FC striker Lehlohonolo Majoro aims to counts on the previous game to claim points when they meet Mamelodi Sundowns at Kings Park Stadium this evening.

Usuthu edged Marumo Gallants in a tough match at Peter Mokaba Stadium to end their long draw run, and Majoro thinks they will head into the game with winning thoughts.

Majoro, though, is mindful of the challenge the Masandawana will bring in the match, but he feels they’ve prepared adequately to secure a positive result.

The striker insists that while their opponents have been getting good results lately and will be confident even away, he is equally confident that his side can use home ground advantage.

“It was a very tough match against Marumo Gallants, they are a very good footballing team, they really made us work extra hard,” Majoro said ahead of the match.

“But the kind of squad and dedication that we showed on that day, it resulted in us never giving up and making sure that we get maximum points.

“It was a good win for us after a very long time without winning games. And I think it came at the right time when we are playing the unbeaten Sundowns on Monday, so we don’t have much to prepare for, because of the games that we’ve been playing that coming thick and fast.

“We have already played them, and they have beaten us one nil away. So now that they are coming to us, we have to double our efforts, make sure that we do everything in our power to collect maximum points will not be an easy game also because they are the current reigning champions, and they have been showing a great form.

“I think with the kind of squad that we have, the players we have and the commitment that they have shown over the past couple of weeks, I’m confident that we’ll go there and do the business, come game day.”
