Manyama – Less Mistakes, More Goals

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Lebogang Manyama says that the team needs to take positives out of their recent performances, as they prepare to face Bloemfontein Celtic this weekend.

The two teams meet in the DSTV Premiership on Saturday at the FNB Stadium, and Manyama says the Amakhosi need to bounce back after their disappointing defeat to SuperSport United.

Celtic will come into the game buoyed by their victory mid-week against Baroka, and Manyama says they can be a dangerous team.

“Yah, obviously disappointing to lose a game like we lost against SuperSport,” Manyama told the Chiefs’ media department.

“I think we sort-of dominated large parts of the game, and I think it was probably the best game we’ve played all season, as a team and as individuals.”

“A lot of positives to take, we can’t really speak about mistakes, as we know they speak for themselves, so we don’t need to talk about them. We know we not supposed to do them.”

“I think come Saturday, the same energy, same hunger and a little bit more, obviously less mistakes, because Celtic is another team who are unbelievable on the break. You know they played the final unfortunately couldn’t win it, but you see immediately they bounced back in their next game.”

“Quick on the counter, very good on the ball, very good players – Mabena, Potsane, Phalane – you know the core of the team is very strong. We know what to expect, they love playing the ball.”

“But like I said, the onus is on us to show the same performance that we played against SuperSport, but a more, and obviously to to try to take more of our chances to bury the game very early.”
