Mathoho And 4 Others Suspended For Weekend Games

DSTV Premiership action resumes this weekend after the international break, but five players will be missing out through suspension.

Co-incidentally, all the suspensions will only affect 2 of the 8 matches scheduled for the weekend.

Topping the list is Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho, who will miss out on Chiefs game away game against Golden Arrows.

Mathoho was sent off in Chiefs’ loss in the MTN8 semi-finals against Orlando Pirates on the 8th of this month.

Arrows have Divine Lungu suspended. Lungu received his marching orders in their 1-1 draw against Baroka.

Maritzburg United, who travel to Thohoyandou to take on Black Leopards, will be missing two players, Riyaaz Ismail and Sibusiso Hlubi.

Ismail was sent off last month against Cape Town City, while Hlubi was dismissed more recently against Chippa United.

Leopards are also affected, and will have to do without Tebogo Mokobela, who was sent off in their win over SuperSport United.
