Kaizer Chiefs defender Eric Mathoho has previewed his side’s match against Baroka, describing it as a tough game, but insisted they are ready for the challenge.
Chiefs meet the struggling Baroka on Saturday in a match that is likely a David vs Goliath fight, with Bakgakga being at the bottom of the DStv Premiership table.
Mathoho knows the opposition very well, having faced them many times, with Chiefs only winning one of their last seven games at Baroka, but he is confident that they will come back with three points.
“This Baroka game will not be simple, it’s going to be a tough match, but we are well-prepared for Baroka,” he told club’s media department.
“I, personally, feel right and fit, and I know this will be a big game, we have it in our mind that this is the big one.
“We know Baroka always make it not easy for us. If we win, we will know that we worked hard, but we are ready to face any challenge.
“We will go there with respect, it won’t be an easy game, it will be the big one, but sometimes history does not count, we just need to follow coach’s instructions and focus.”
Amakhosi visit Baroka at Peter Mokaba Stadium on Saturday at 19:30.
