Mamelodi Sundowns co-head coach Manqoba Mngqithi has praised Orlando Pirates co-assistant coaches Fadlu Davids and Mandla Ncikazi, saying the team is a lot harder to beat than under Josef Zinnbauer.
Mngqithi has spoken about his admiration for Saturday’s opponents, heaping praise on the organization and performances the Soweto club have shown.
The Buccaneers lost 2-0 to Sundowns, however, Mngqithi was impressed how Davids and Ncikazi set up their side.
“I want to give credit to Mandla and Fadlu, I think their organization was very good,” Mngqithi told reporters.
“It was not maybe as easy as it was in the previous matches when we came here.
“I think, we saw it even in their previous match against Chippa that it’s going to course a problem because they always have four immediately when you lose possession from a long ball when you are building up, you already have to deal with Pule, you have to deal with Hotto, you have to deal with Dzvukamanja and Mabasa.
“But we dealt with that very well, with a good counter-pressing and also good breaking of the press sometimes when they have got a little bit of a space behind our defence.”
