Manqoba Mngqithi says the top-of-the-table DStv Premiership clash between AmaZulu and Mamelodi Sundowns is not going to be an easy fixture.
The Sundowns Co-Head Coach was speaking after the log leaders were knocked out in a penalty shootout by Tshakhuma in the Nedbank Cup.
Sundowns remain unbeaten in the league, and Mngqithi says the conditioning department are working on hard to get the players ready for the game.
Sundowns are six points ahead of second-placed Usuthu, and also have two games in hand over Benni McCarthy’s team.
““We know what is going to happen in Durban, it is not going to be an easy one,” Mngqithi said in the build-up to the game.
“We still have to fight. Our conditioning department is working very hard to make sure our players are in a good space to be able to come to the game against AmaZulu and deliver.”
“Our players know they have a responsibility in all of these fixtures. We play these matches because of their success. They keep doing well and they must take the dose that comes with doing well.”
