Orlando Pirates midfielder Thabang Monare has promised to give his best to help the club succeed this season.
Monare recently joined iBhakaniya in October after his former club Bidvest Wits sold their PSL status to Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila.
While he did not feature at the beginning when he joined Pirates, Monare has since stamped his mark and is enjoying his midfield partnership with former Wits teammate Ben Motshwari.
The midfield maestro impressed Pirates supporters in the past few weeks when he dominated in both legs of the Soweto Derby in the MTN8 semi-finals, where Orlando Pirates knocked out Kaizer Chiefs 5-0 on aggregate.
Speaking to Orlando Pirates TV, he said:
“I have never been the kind of person who focuses on individual accolades, I focus more on what the team can do. Once you focus on the collective, every falls into place. Right now my ambition is not individual, I want to put in whatever in the team, so that the team can get silverware.”
Ezimnyama Ngenkani will get an opportunity to win their first trophy in six seasons when they take on Bloemfontein Celtic on 12 December in the MTN8 final.
