Ramahlwe Mphahlele says Kaizer Chiefs want to do well in the CAF Champions League, and need to give everything in the home game against Clube Desportivo 1º de Agosto on Wednesday.
While Mphahlele says they have been struggling domestically, he feels that if they can get past their Angolan opponents in this round, anything could happen in the group stages.
But Mphahlele says that this home game is the one they need to get a good result in first.
“We’re preparing well. We know they are a good team,” Mphahlele says ahead of Wednesday’s game.
“We are aware of the danger they’re gonna cause so we’re preparing our team. And we’re obviously playing at home so we want to get good results, so when we go to Angola, we have a chance of going to the group stages.”
“I think it’s important that we take this game very seriously, we are just two games away from the group stages of the CAF Champions League and then from there you are playing the big boys and the chances of going to the quarter-finals are very high, so we taking it very seriously and we want to give everything that we have.”
“Locally we are struggling a little bit, but we want to do well in this competition”
