Former Orlando Pirates and Black Leopards striker Mwape Musonda has surfaced at Swallows ahead of the new DStv Premiership season
The Zambian international had reportedly been linked to AmaZulu, but has now joined up with Brandon Truter’s team.
However Swallows boss Panyaza Lesufi took to social media to welcome Musonda to Swallows.
Musonda returns to South Africa after spending a year in the Middle East where he joined Hatta Sports Club, before going on loan to Al Sahel earlier this year.
While Musonda didn’t set the world alight at Pirates, where he failed to score in limited appearances, or on loan at Golden Arrows (two goals), he found his scoring boots at Lidoda Duvha, and scored 50 leagues goals in four seasons at Leopards, and over 60 in all competitions. He was the Premiership Golden Boot winner in the 2019/2020 season.
