Mvala Happy To Be Off The Mark At Sundowns

Mamelodi Sundowns debutant Mothobi Mvala says he was pleased to get off the mark in his first game.

Mvala made his debut in Sundowns’ 1-1 draw Golden Arrows on the weekend, heading in his teams’ opening goal.

The former Highlands Park midfielder joined Sundowns at the start of the season, and he says that the goal was straight off the training pitch.

“I feel happy that I played my first game and I scored a goal,” Mvala told the Sundowns website.

“At training we have been practicing set pieces and seeing it go in makes me happy as it comes from training.”

“It was my first game, I was struggling a bit. Arrows is not an easy team as they were coming at us but we managed to stick to the game plan.”

“We kept the shape and a point away is better than nothing.”
