Kaizer Chiefs head coach Nasreddine Nabi has confirmed that Inacio Miguel will be the club’s captain following Yusuf Maart’s departure for Austrian side SV Ried.
Chiefs took part in the Toyota Cup second edition against Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko and lost 3-2 on penalties after a goalless draw in 90 minutes. This loss meant that Chiefs haven’t won the Toyota Cup since it was established last year.

Despite not getting the results, Nabi emphasized that they cannot be worried or be concerned by the friendly matches results which includes the results of the friendly that were played in Netherlands during their tour.
The Chiefs head coach also confirmed that Angolan international Miguel will be the captain for the upcoming season after last season’s captain Maart left Amakhosi to ply his trade in Austria.
“I believe that you have responded yourself to the question that it’s friendly games and we not gonna comment on friendly games,” Nabi told the media via translation of Cedric Kaze.
“Miguel will be the captain for this coming season.”
