Orlando Pirates co-caretaker coach Mandla Ncikazi has given a comprehensive injury update of his squad, confirming that both Gabadinho Mhango and Vincent Pule are back in the squad.
The Buccaneers have suffered a serious injury crisis in the first part of the 2020/21 campiagn, while a players also wrote bad headlines off the pitch.
However, things have seemingly turned for the better at Orlando Stadium, with Ncikazi confirming several players are back in contention.
“We appreciate that some players (have returned). (Innocent) Maela is back, he’s already in the selection panel,” Ncikazi said on the Ultimate Sport Show.
“He’s in the group of players that can be selected, he played in Liberia.
“I’m just happy that (Ntsekelelo) Nyauza is already playing. Ben (Motshwari) is back, (Gabadinho) Mhango is back.
“The team is getting to back to where we all think it should be.
“(Richard) Ofori is still out, I’m not sure when he will be back.
“After that maybe we will be in a position in terms of selection and in terms of having all our players.
“I forgot (Vincent) Pule is still out. Happy Jele is back training and I’m hoping that he’s available for selection this week or next week.”
Pirate return to action on Thursday when they host Baroka at Orlando Stadium and a three-goal win could see them climb into third spot.
