Golden Arrows Head Coach Mandla Ncikazi says it was a tough match against Baroka in the DStv Premiership on Wednesday, but he’ll take the point after it ended in a goalless draw.
Ncikazi says while he feels his team head the better chances, he will take the draw after the loss against Black Leopards in their previous match.
Ncikazi says they now face two tough matches away, and they can build off this performance.
“A tough match as expected, a hard running team, it was a battle,” Ncikazi said after the goalless draw.
“Both teams were fighting, you could see the number of yellow cards on both teams. But I thought on the balance of play, we created the better chances, not as many as we would have loved. But I think we were the one team that had a clear cut chance.”
“But I’ll take the point. Maybe from a loss we had to build. We couldn’t just get all the points. But I thought we performed better than the previous match.”
“Let’s build from this into the next match. We’re going to Limpopo to two teams from the same province. We have an opportunity now to correct the mistake we had against Black Leopards.”
“Let’s go into their territory and see whether we can get the points and far away from that we also play TTM, let’s go there and try and get to the points.”
“If the fighting spirit and the mentality is correct. I think we’ll get the points. But today I’m not disappointed with how the team plated just disappointed that we couldn’t get all the points.”
