Orlando Pirates co-coach Mandla Ncikazi says that DDC star Boitumelo Radiopane is in serious competition to play in the first team.
Radiopane has been in superb form for Pirates’ DDC team this season, scoring 15 goals for the club.
iDiski Times’ Rob Delport asked about striker Radiopane, who scored two goals for Pirates’ DDC team on Sunday and Ncikazi says he is knocking on the door for selection.
But he also added the first team and DDC technical staff will manage his transition carefully, and it is important for him to get game time.
“That one is going to cause one of the coaches to faint or get fired,” Ncikazi joked.
“The young man is doing well. He’s in serious competition to to play in the senior team.
“I would love to play him in the senior team, we have played him in some matches.
“But again, if we work in harmony with our DDC team, if we’re not guaranteed that he is going to start a match here, we want to give him match minutes, we want to give him game time and develop better when he plays matches.
“He’s a good player and there’s more to come from him. I’d love to have him and his in the galaxy of strikers that I have just mentioned.
“When DDC is not playing, he trains with the senior team, which is why we want to fast track his development. And I’m sure he’s going to be a star in the future.”
