Orlando Pirates co-caretaker coach Mandla Ncikazi has revealed what his side need to do to beat “tough opponents” Cape Town City in today’s DStv Premiership match.
Ncikazi believes the Citizens are a tough team, more especially after they hammered Swallows FC 4-0 in the MTN 8 semi-finals second leg on Wednesday.
The Buccaneers head to the game looking to turn things around after they lost 2-0 to the log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns in their last match.
“We are playing against a tough opponent, full of confidence after the result against Moroka Swallows,” Ncikazi told the club’s media department.
“They are very good on transitions, speed behind the defence. Look at all their goals that they have scored, the Ralani and Fagrie Lakay.
“If we can just deal with that rush defence in our team, have the capacity that we’ve got successful transitions, do well on set place, the team will get to the result.
“The players are united, they’re well prepared. Let’s see what happens on Saturday. But I’m highly optimistic.”
Pirates play the Citizens at Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town at 17:30 later today.
