Ngobeni – I’m Hopeful To Get More Game Time

Sifiso Ngobeni, who who was proud to make his Mamelodi Sundowns debut last week against Orlando Pirates, is hoping to finish the year on a high against Marumo Gallants.

Sundowns host Gallants in their DStv Premiership fixture at Loftus Stadium at 17h30.

Ngobeni only got a few minutes in the 4-1 win over Pirates, but the Mamelodi-born fullback was pleased to get the opportunity.

“My debut game against Orlando Pirates, I was very happy to receive a debut against a team like Pirates,” Ngobeni told the club’s media department.

“A small boy in me who dreamt of this time who dreamt of this, a debut like that, was happy. So I’m really happy to have made my debut and I’m hopeful to get more game time.”

Ngobeni is hoping to get more game time as Sundowns face Gallants in their final match of 2021.

“Okay, our final match for the year, it’s against Marumo Gallants,” Ngobeni continued.

“Okay, we have looked at how they play, we have analysed them and we know a few players of them, who are their targets, and who really helped them, the likes of Ndlondlo and Timm, they really helping the team and also their defence, it’s really good.

“And so ja, we have prepared well for the game and we just have to go there and play our game and win the game.

“For us as a team, we really want to do well this year, because we were using PSL to prepare for CAF Champions League. So we really need to win our games.

“And we know that this time of the year it’s very difficult to stay focused and to continue working hard but because we have a goal, and we have a vision, we just have to go there tomorrow and win the game.”
