Ntiya-Ntiya Misses Out

Kaizer Chiefs’ Siphosakhe Ntiya-Ntiya is the only player suspended for Wednesday’s DStv Premiership matches.

On Wednesday two matches are scheduled to be played, with Chiefs hosting AmaZulu, while Mamelodi Sundowns will welcome Baroka.

Ntiya-Ntiya misses out after being sent off against Richards Bay in the Nedbank Cup round of 32 loss.

Chiefs were meant to play against Wydad Casablanca in the CAF Champions League this past weekend, but that match was postponed after Morocco refused to grant visas. That fixture is currently being rescheduled to be played in a neutral venue, with Egypt the most likely destination.

The re-scheduling of the Wydad game may cause havoc with the DStv Premiership fixtures, and Chiefs may have to postpone games, depending on the date to be confirmed by CAF.

Log leaders Sundowns on the other hand started their CAFCL campaign with a good 2-0 home win against Sudan’s Al Hilal, and will look at Wednesday’s game as an opportunity to move back five points clear at the top of the league if they win.
