Bafana Bafana will begin their 2022 Cosafa Cup campaign in the quarter-finals against Mozambique, after today’s draw was concluded.
The draw was conducted on Tuesday, with former Bafana players Mark Fish and Brilliant Khuzwayo part of the process.
The tournament will take place later in July in Durban, and South Africa will be sending their U23 team to compete at the event. David Notoane will lead the team, as they look to defend the cup Bafana won last year.
South Africa will only enter the competition in the second phase, alongside Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Zambia and Senegal. The other two quarter-finalists will be decided from eight teams competing in the group stages in phase one.
