Official: Chiefs Suspend Zuma
Kaizer Chiefs have suspended forward Dumisani Zuma from all club activities pending an internal disciplinary hearing.
Zuma was confirmed to have been arrested last week after being allegedly found driving under the influence during curfew hours in Sandton and released on R1 000 bail ahead of an expected court case.
Chiefs confirmed that they were aware of the situation and will make an official statement after investigating the incident and have now confirmed to have suspended the 26-year-old.
“Kaizer Chiefs is disappointed to learn of the recent alleged conduct of Dumisani Zuma as reported in the media and has taken the decision to immediately suspend him from all Club activities pending an internal disciplinary hearing,” the club statement read.
“His suspension is in the interests of all parties concerned and does not in itself carry any inference of guilt or prejudgement. The Club will ensure the matter is resolved as quickly as reasonably possible.”
