Sekhukhune United have confirmed the acquisition of Zambian international Rodrick Kabwe ahead of the resumption of the DStv Premiership season.
Kabwe is no stranger to South African football having turned out previously for Black Leopards and Ajax Cape Town.
Kabwe spent four seasons at Ajax, featuring in 61 games in all competitions. Last season he joined Lidoda Duvha and featured 21 times for the Limpopo side, scoring five times.
The former Zanaco player has 25 caps for his country.
“I’m not promising heaven and earth, but I’m here to strengthen the team,” Kabwe told the club’s media department.
“As we all know, this season the team has being doing fine and ja, I think given this opportunity, I will just have to do my job – which is creating, and if the opportunity comes, to score, and to defend where I’m supposed to defend!”
Macdonald Makhubedu’s team have made a number of interesting signings this window, including Justin Shonga, Evans Rusike and Luckyboy Mokoena.
