Official: Sekhukhune Part Ways With 9 Players

Ahead of the resumption of the DStv Premiership, Sekhukhune United have opted to part ways with as many as nine of their players.

Nicholas Lukhubeni has already been confirmed to have joined Maritzburg United, while Thabang Sibanyoni has reportedly joined AmaTuks. Jabu Maluleke has joined Venda Football Academy, while Tumelo Matona has been loaned out to Jomo Cosmos.

Five other players have also been deemed surplus by Macdonald Makhubedu and his technical team, including the Zimbabwean pair of Blessing Sarupinda and Talent Chawapiwha, as well as Sibusiso Hlubi, Jabu Maluleke, Thabo Rakhale and Ryan De Jongh.

Maluleke played no games this season, Lukhubeni played in one, Sarupinda made just four appearances, Sibanyoni got five appearances, Hlubi played twice, Matona four times, De Jongh and Rakhale played seven times each, while Chawapiwha featured in eight games.

The club has also brought in a number of new recruits including Justin Shonga, Evans Rusike, Roderick Kabwe and Luckyboy Mokoena.
