As the DStv Premiership is set to resume, Stellenbosch have announced their new signing, Juan Carlos Ortiz, from Venezuela
iDiski Times reported about Ortiz’ signing last month, but now the club has officially announced their South American acquisition.
The 28-year-old was one of the best players of the Venezuelan top-flight with 24 goal contributions (16 goals and eight assists) in 32 games for Monagas SC.
Stellies have subsequently snapped him up ahead of a host of suitors in Colombia, Peru and his home nation with a three-year deal.
The club also recently bid farewell to Tanzanian, Ally Msengi, opening up a foreign place in the squad.
