After the special transfer window for clubs partaking in the 2025 Club World Cup closed, all squads for the tournament were confirmed – including Mamelodi Sundowns’ 35-man list.
Masandawana did not make use of the 10-day window and didn’t add any player to their current squad, while clubs like Manchester City spent a whopping €128.3 million (R2.6 billion).
The Betway Premiership champions kick off their tournament against Ulsan DH on 18 July before facing Borussia Dortmund and Fluminense on 21 and 25 June, respectively.
Sundowns have submitted a 35-man squad for the tournament, as per FIFA. However, this publication can confirm that not all of these names have traveled to the United States.
Terrence Mashego, Matias Esquivel, Thapelo Maseko, Ntando Nkosi, Sanele Tshabalala, Kegan Johannes, Thato Sibiya and Zuko Mdunyelwa have not travelled with the squad, Lucas Suarez did not make the 35-man list in the first place.
