SuperSport United have confirmed the signings of Bafana Bafana defender Sifiso Ngobeni and Bangaly Soumahoro on loan until the end of the season.
The duo were unveiled by Matsatsantsa on Tuesday evening after Downs had already confirmed the loan of Ngobeni earlier in the day.
“We brought Sifiso Ngobeni to bring more depth into the team especially in the left back position, currently we only have Onismor Bhasera who recently came from the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon with Zimbabwe, so we really needed cover in that area,” SSU coach Kaitano Tembo said.
“The same applies with Bangaly, we have young players like Luke Fleurs, Kegan Johannes, Thatayaone Ditlhokwe who are the first choice centre backs and he will bring some experience to our team especially in defence.”
Soumahoro was part of Sundowns’ CAF Champions League winning team but wasn’t registered by the reigning DStv Premiership champions this campaign.
