TS Galaxy have confirmed their second January signing with Cape Town City midfielder Shane Roberts joining on loan.
As reported by iDiski Times earlier this week, the 23-year-old has signed a six-month agreement with the relegation-threatened Rockets as he looks for regular first-team football.
Since being promoted to the Citizens first-team, he’s racked up 42 appearances but has been restricted to just 65 minutes of action in the current campaign.
“I’m excited to join TS Galaxy FC. This is a new chapter for me in my career. I want to help the club improve its league position,” Roberts said.
“I aim to assist the club progress and growing using my qualities. We have to get the club to where it belongs. This is a new challenge and I’m ready to embrace it.
“For me, it is the new province and climate. I’m here to express new things with the club. I’m happy to be where I am right now. I’m looking forward to spending my time with the Rockets and I’m here to stay.”
Roberts becomes their second signing in the mid-season transfer window after the arrival of Lefa Hlongwane on Saturday.
