Official: Updated Log After Pirates & AmaZulu Games

Kaizer Chiefs have dropped further down the log after Baroka ended AmaZulu’s 16-game unbeaten run in the league, while Orlando Pirates missed out moving to third spot.

Usuthu have been the in-form team in the DStv Premiership, going an incredible 16 matches without defeat, but were beaten 1-0 by Baroka on Tuesday afternoon.

As a consequence, AmaZulu remained unchanged on 50 points in second spot on the log, but Mamelodi Sundowns now only need to pick up three more points from their outstanding four games to be crowned champions.

Baroka’s victory saw them climb into ninth position on the table, three points above Amakhosi who dropped into tenth spot.

Pirates, meanwhile, levelled Golden Arrows on 43 points but remained behind Abafana Bes’thende based on goal difference after their goalless draw with Stellenbosch, who moved two points clear of the relegation-playoff spot.
