Pirates Are The Team To Beat – Tembo

Supersport United Coach Kaitano Tembo has complimented Orlando Pirates’ great start to the season.

The Buccaneers host Matsatsantsa on Saturday at 6pm in the DStv Premiership. Pirates are enjoying a good start to the season having qualified for the MTN8 final and are unbeaten in the league in three matches.

Supersport have also had a decent start to the season, however, the players would be disappointed by the fact that they were dumped out of the MTN8 at the semifinal stages. In the league, they have won two and lost one.

In his prematch comments, Tembo had this to say:

“Huge game for both teams, Pirates have had a very good start to the season. They are looking more hungrier and look more solid as a team. Its not going to be an easy game for us, but we have got confidence in ourselves. We need to give ourselves a chance, work hard and match their work ethic. They are a very good team at the moment, probably the team to beat, but we also wanna prove ourselves.”

These two clubs last met in August in the league, where Pirates won the game 2-1, courtesy of goals from Pule and Lepasa. Grobler and Gabuza both missed penalties in that game with Luke Fleurs scoring the solitary goal for Supersport.
