Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has admitted that they had to change their tactical approach in order to break down a disciplined Chippa United side.
The Buccaneers walked away 2-0 victors on the evening but had to wait until at least the 74th minute to finally broke the deadlock courtesy of Evidence Makgopa’s close range tap-in.

Oswin Appollis made it 2-0 in the 94th minute with pretty much the last kick of the game and Ouaddou was frank that the Chilli Boys made it hard for them in the first period which forced them into alterations.
“I think we played against a very good team of Chippa, very well organised tactically. They put us in trouble the first half,” he told SuperSport TV.
“We didn’t manage to find the spaces that we wanted to. We went at the halftime to make some tactical changes to improve a little bit the second half.
“I think the guys they did well; I have to congratulate them. To play against a team who are looking for points is never easy even they are last at the log.
“But again, my players were prepped, focused. What I like in that game is we were focused 90 minutes. We didn’t concede goal.
“We came back with the strength, it’s very important for me to not concede goals.”
