Orlando Pirates have confirmed that Nkanyiso Zungu has been suspended by the club following the midfielder being charged by the SAPS on Sunday.
The club made this announcement after their 3-0 victory over Royal Leopard in the CAF Confederation Cup on Sunday.
“Orlando Pirates Football Club can confirm that midfielder Nkanyiso Zungu has been charged at the Moffatview Police Station this evening,” the club said on their site
“The Club suspends Mr Zungu pending an investigation.
“As this matter is currently in the hands of the authorities, the Club is unable to make further comment until this process is complete.”
