Pirates Fans Organise March To Get Zinnbauer Sacked

A selection of Orlando Pirates fans are organising a march to Orlando Stadium next week because they want Josef Zinnbauer to be sacked.

The Buccaneers supporters have announced they will march on 5 June between 9:00 and 13:00, starting at Caltex Killer Road.

Prominent Bucs supporter Lady D confirmed to iDiski Times that the march will take place, before explaining why she distances herself from the protest.

“It’s a motion of no confidence walk on 5 June. The purpose is to get JZ out,” she said.

“The national executive are distancing themselves from that march. The proper protocols were not followed. I also don’t want to be part of it, I distance myself.”

Lady D went on to explain that she does not support the motion of getting Zinnbauer sacked, because she feels someone else is pulling the strings at the club.

“I know what’s happening at the club. There are many administrative issues in terms of selecting of players. The coach sometimes doesn’t have a say,” the prominent Bucs fan added.

“It’s quite painful to see coaches suffering such, you know.

“Sometimes they don’t have a choice. The team is losing, we see them as losers, but there is someone else that is taking control of the starting XI.

“They wanted me to be part of the march but I told them I’m out.”

Pirates currently sit in fourth position on the DStv Premiership log and lifted this season’s MTN8 trophy.

However, they were eliminated from the CAF Confederations Cup over the weekend, losing 5-1 on aggregate to Raja Casablanca.
