Pirates Give Injury Update Ahead Of Arrows

Orlando Pirates have given an update about their squad after the international break, confirming Innocent Maela and striker Zakhele Lepasa are back in training.

The Buccaneers have won just one of their last six games in the league and have dropped to seventh on the log after their Soweto Derby defeat.

However, Arrows’ form is even worse, with Abafana Bes’thende only winning one of their last nine DStv Premiership games.

Pirates have been suffering with injuries since the beginning of the season and their treatment table has slightly improved.

“On the injury front, several Buccaneers are nearing a return to action after lengthy spells on the sidelines, with defender Innocent Maela and striker Zakhele Lepasa among those inching closer to featuring for the first time this season,” Pirates said on their website.

Maela has been out since the Carling Black Label Cup, while Lepasa last featured for Pirates way back in December 2020.

Meanwhile, Arrows coach Lehlohonolo Seema has confirmed to the media that his squad boasts a largely clean bill of health going into the fixture.
